So Long, Elkhart Express

After three years, and two championship years, the Elkhart Express is gone. The finances didn’t work out, and there were signs of this even during last season.
The 2008 season, while competitively successful, saw some drop in attendance, no radio coverage (Rumor has it WTRC declined to cover games after not being paid for the 2007 season), and other issues related to finances.
Owner and Coach Daimon Beathea has had a lot to be proud of over the three year run, but this year, with fewer sponsorships forthcoming and a down economy, it just wasn’t to be.
