An officer of the Court, if he knows that a man is guilty, lawfully is expected to turn the guilty party in and cause him to be tried. You hear of Lawyers Condemning Politicians, using the Grand Juries to Convict someone before they are actually judged and found guilty. Ex: Recently, Senator Stevens was found guilty I believe of some problem of Payola or whatever, reason, he was both a successful politician and because he was a Senator from Alaska, he was a Target of the Media due to Drilling of Oil in Alaska. Recently his Case was apparently opened for investigation because of Prosecuting Attorneys mistreating evidence in some manner. The People of Alaska are Independent and Don't like The Media Telling them what to do. If you convict a State Senator because he allegedly said something a little illegal sounding, and you Go around the Vote of the People like the Media did in Florida. They in the Media took up the call and convicted him and the Jury was Not Far Behind. You know the Media actually likes Jerry Spence, a Famed Lawyer who once said on National TV that he would get a man off of a Murder Conviction. All the Murderer needs to do is say, I won't do it again, I really didn't intend to kill him. But the Media apparently Glorified Jerry Spence as they approved of his Words and Probably his deeds. The Media presented his opinion favorably, apparently, without fear of criticism on Prime time during OJ's Trial. I believe the Media did all they could to Free OJ. Apparently Media Strategy and Play by Play Presentation of the Largest Media Event in History Re: a Murder Trial was very effective. Look at OJ's Inferences in Writing attributed to him since his Trial for Murder. Was a Judge scared of Negative Publicity in that Case? Did OJ get Freed because he was a Famous Football Player, had many fans, the Media Controlled the Jury, the Judge, the Prosecuting Attorneys by the Media treatment of one or more Police Officers or Detectives. Certainly the Media obviously wanted him Freed. How did OJ get Freed, he seems to have admitted he was guilty later. How Much Control does the Media have on a Trial. The big chains offer a lot of jobs and better buying power, lower prices and in some ways, better service because they are all networked together. Local businesses will survive on the basis of better and/or unique services, since (in this case) the products being sold are basically available anyplace. A lot of us complain about the big box stores, but when we want a deal, where do we go? BestBuy, Walmart, etc. Not sure there are any particular perils. Local businesses will survive on the basis of better and/or unique services, since (in this case) the products being sold are basically available anyplace.
